Sri LankaHigh-trust mandates
Intelligence and analysis for high-trust environments.
We work where a decision carries consequence and the information behind it is incomplete, contested, or deliberately shaped. Analysis is the core discipline of the practice, and every other capability is built on it.
Capabilities
Four disciplines held to one standard of judgment.
Each capability is carried by the people who assessed the mandate. Nothing of consequence is passed to a volume provider.
Intelligence and analysis
Assessment of incomplete, conflicting, or deliberately shaped information, for decisions that cannot easily be revisited.
Protective operations
Intelligence-led protection for principals, families, and sensitive movement, beginning with an assessment of exposure.
Authority and information systems
Control of how an organization is recorded, cited, and found, so that the public record stays accurate and defensible.
Estate and production operations
Management and operation of working estates, carried from regenerative agriculture through processing to finished product.
Method
We begin with the operating reality.
A stated problem is usually a symptom of the environment that produced it. We establish the environment first, then identify the constraints, leverage points and structural weaknesses that decide what can actually be executed.
Assessment
The mandate, the stakeholders, the incentives, the operational constraints and the decision risks are examined before any recommendation is made.
Design
Structures, protocols and advisory frameworks are built to survive real-world pressure rather than to read well on paper.
Execution
Implementation is supported with disciplined review, correction, and operational judgment applied in the field.
Founder perspective
Occam’s Razor remains one of the finest tools in intelligence analysis, where the simplest explanation often proves correct. Yet in counterintelligence, simplicity itself may be the deception. The discipline lies in knowing when to cut through complexity, and when to suspect complexity has been deliberately designed to lead the analyst toward an elegantly wrong conclusion.

Standard of engagement
Not a guard-supply service.
Security in Sri Lanka is largely bought by headcount and measured by presence. A protective engagement here starts with an assessment of exposure and ends with a control measure that can be reviewed afterwards.
- Lawful purpose. Every engagement requires clear authority, jurisdictional clarity, and a defined protection objective.
- No theater. Visible deterrence for its own sake, commodity deployment, and intimidation fall outside the practice.
- No unlawful collection. Surveillance outside lawful authority is declined at the enquiry stage.
- Named responsibility. The person who assesses a mandate stays accountable for how it is carried out.
Estate and production
Estates run as production, not as scenery.
We manage, operate and lead working estates rather than advising from the outside. The direction is regenerative agriculture carried through to processing and value-added output, with cinnamon as the current production line. The measure is soil condition and product quality across successive seasons.
The same standards apply to land the group holds itself, at Vonfidel Ranch, where agricultural and hospitality operations run side by side.
Access
Quiet work. Serious outcomes.
Cognisive Operations accepts a limited number of mandates. Bring the context, the jurisdiction and the time sensitivity, and you will be told plainly whether the work is ours to take.
